James, Kirk, Lars, and Jason have made Metallica one of the greatest hard rock bands ever.  But we cant forget about the former members.  Cliff Burton (bass guitar) died 9-27-86, Dave Mustane (lead guitar) and Ron McGovney (bass guitar) were both "removed".  Dave Mustane is now the lead guitarist of Megadeth.
